I blew my plug on a Sunday afternoon , 60 miles from the house. after i saw it hanging there back under the firewall, I said t heck with it and drove it home. And then back to the dealer the next morning another 15 miles. I had it in there the previous week because I had told him I had a loose plug. He no , it wasn't loose. They changed the head.
It ran good for another 30k.
My 04 is more of a truck, but the 99 rode better and I liked the gears better for the road.

Dealer just called me and the offered to pay for the tow to the dealership Thanks for the favor

I asked are they going to replace my head and they said yes. (they have not seen the truck yet). So I am going home and marking the head in several spots to make sure they replace it.

And the sage continues......:santa: See you all at Christmas

Damn it Tom! DAMN IT!!!
The saga. When will it end?
If it was me, the next thing for the Lightning would be Jewish Lightning.

Yeah I have this big Jar that I put all my change in since the day I bought the truck labeled Gen 3 Fund.
But after all these problems I am not sure if I am going jump on Build #1, may wait a year until they work out some of the new issues.

UpDATE****

Dealer picked up my truck on a flatbed last night at 10pm (they are paying, no ford roadside since I was more than 35 miles away). Called them this morning and they said they ordered the new head already. Said they looked down the hole and they did not see any damage to the cyclinder walls but will have a better look once the head is off. So I may get another motor if their is damage.
