Signature lines

I've been toying with putting together a signature for my posts.

What is the gnerally accepted etiquette for a signature line?

Should I:

1) list all my mods
2) list only performance mods
3) include et, mph, 60 foot
4) include build date and number
5) include picture (if so what is the accepted size usually)

I hear (OK - I've READ) alot of bitching about signatures - too big, too long, out of date, wrong info, posted too often, etc.

I want to make sure that what I do out of pride for my truck is not a constant irritant to others.

Ideas?,
Herb

first insert a HUGE PITURE, with all your mods listed on it and then pick someone on theboard to be your enemy and make fun of them every chance you can get by changing you signature picture....

KEEP it simple.

you must list these items...

Your current cars.
Mods done to them
hp/torque for ALL of them
track numbers
Colors of all of them

Your past cars
What years you owned them.
All Option package codes.
Mods done to them
hp/torque for ALL of them
track numbers
Colors of all of them

Pictures of all above cars.

A insult about a tuner.
A insult about somone else on the board.

either or

with those you will fit right in.

Keep them horizontal, not vertical. Vertical sigs just waste screen space. Just use slashes and keep going instead of hitting the carriage return.
Forget about your other cars.
Don't list your mods. We all have them. We are not impressed. And do we really need to know what oil you run, your best stock time, or what seat covers you have?
Use your sig only ONCE in a thread.
Use proper spelling and grammar.
Brush your teeth after eating sweets.

Good sig (Runvs?):
Ken Wilson
"Anything less than a Lightning becomes prey"
403 RWHP / 518 RWTQ"

Nice. Tight. Interesting. And this is from a newbie.

Not good sig (thnder):
Dark Shadow Grey 03
Born 12/17/02 #355/4270
Metco Idler Pulley Kit
JDM Phenolic Spacer
L&S Automotive Oil Seperator
Modified Stock Air box with K&N panel
FTVB with 4x4 pan
PSP Driveshaft loop / Truck-Traks
5-20w Royal Purple
T-Rex Billet Grill / Roush Billet Pedals
and other misc. Billet Bling Bling

Who cares about any of this?

Worse sig (Smokn' L):
'00 silver
JL stage II ram air
JDM : Chip, breather cap, line valve mod,4x4 pan, kooks coated headers w/magnaflo 14468,Elec. fan, Cobra water pump
Roush springs
QA1s
'01 Tails,Headlights,Fogs&Corners
HID's
DL's 20"chrome SVT wheels
Billet Grills
Cervini hood
Lund rollpan
Custom wing
K-40 radar Laser diffuser
Carbon Fiber int
Audio:
Alpine CVA 1005
Alpine BBE processor/eq
Alpine 6disc I-net changer
PS2

Once again, who cares? Breather cap? Tranny pan? Stereo? If every little mod has to be listed, just go horizontal:

'00 silver: JL stage II ram air / JDM : Chip, breather cap, line valve mod, 4x4 pan, kooks coated headers w/magnaflo 14468,Elec. fan, Cobra water pump / Roush springs / QA1s / '01 tails, Headlights, Fogs & Corners / HID's / DL's 20"chrome SVT wheels / Billet Grills / Cervini hood / Lund rollpan / Custom wing / K-40 radar Laser diffuser / Carbon Fiber int / Audio: Alpine CVA 1005 / Alpine BBE / processor/eq / Alpine 6disc I-net changer / PS2

Lo-tec Pod that does'nt fit proper
Pro Glass Shaker hood.. (love it)

Ummm Tim, the "search" button in your sig doesn't work. Can you tell me what vendor you bought that from so I won't buy from them either?

Just do a small to medium sized pic
List your other cars, times and dyno numbers. That should be enough.
