In my truck, I can squeak the 1-2 shift without accelerating hard when I was on an old set of F1s. This happened mostly uphill, but I swear I wouldn't even pull ahead of minivans when doing it.

But my point was that the ticket is for 'Exhibition of Acceleration'.

When the court/judge sees that ticket, unless it specifically states burning of the tires they are going to look more how fast you accelerated. And if you chirped the tires and the cop heard it, then that will be proof that you accelerated to fast.


Tim's post stated more of what I was getting at, but with much better words.
