Has your L lost to a diesel truck?
I've been reading (and hearing) about the new generation of diesel trucks...some of them are pretty quick! Have you lost to a diesel truck while driving your L? When I was in my stock V8 Tundra, on the highway, I tried to pass a 4x4 Dodge 2500 Cummins, and the diesel driver decided he didn't want that to happen, so he hit the gas too, and I had to max out my Tundra (105 mph) to finally pass the guy.
I know Tundras are not that quick, but I didn't realize how quick that huge truck was! I know my stock L would've taken him easily, but I've heard that modded diesels can kick some tail. I remember ten years back when light truck diesels were sooooo slow. Who knows, maybe one day, we'll have 4 second twin turbo "top diesel" dragsters out there. Have you lost to a diesel, either on the street or dragstrip?

I understand there's a gentleman up here in the northwest with a fast dodge truck. A friend of mine witnessed a 10.65 1/4 a month or so ago....oh and his wife drives the tow truck and I think it runs in the 12's. I know that because one of our lighning guys got spanked by her.
I can't wait to get our their and play

when i was stock i raced a 6.0 powerstroke (mods unknown) 4x4 ext cab short bed, got him half truck length off the line but up to 60 he stayed right there, suprised the hell out of me but i didn't lose. i did notice that he could spin his tires rolling at 35-40 and let out a TON of black smoke with his 5-6 inch tip, looked funny but it really suprised me

I see David at HRP often in Snowwhite as he fondly calls his truck and is no doubt quick. There are some Diesel dragsters which are unbelievable.
Keep in mind folks no matter what it is from a Honda Civic to a 7000lb Diesel they can out run some of us. It just depends on how deep their pockets are.

My buddy ran a 13.9 in his 04 6.0L Powerstroke w/ a manual transmission. Intake, module and exhaust. Only reason he didn't dip lower is because he still has it speed limited at 97 mph and bounces off of it before the quarter. There are not many vehicles that can pass him at highway speeds. Not bad for less than $2000 in mods.
