How are the step-guards in the doors mounted?

How are the step-guards in the doors mounted?
You know, the black plastic strips about 1 1/2" by 36" . Are they stuck on, screwed in from the bottom or pressed in?

pressed in. I took mine out the other day to clean them. They just snap in and out. JR
