Once upon a timer there was a cow far out west, that produced a lot of manure and stink.
It was in operation for ovre 30 years, but as the city grew people expended closer and closer to the farm and it's odor. eventually there was a subdivision boardering on the property line of this farm/.

The owners sued the farmer.

Result:

the farmer had to MOVE his farm or quit producing the odor. He moved his entire farm

I hope this doesn't happen inthis case.

It will, sooner or later. It's not a question of whether, it's a question of when.

In case after case, the courts side with the homeowners, even when they move to the nuisance. The theory is that economic development is more important than the farm/factory/track owner's rights being there first.

It's f'ing stupid, but that's just the way that it is.
