Question 20" tires

I have a 99 lightning. I am wanting to get a little bigger tire a rim. I'm looking at a 20" with a 305/40/R20 Nitto. Does anyone know how much this added weight will effect performance? I think the new set up would be roughly 60 LB's (combined wheel and tire)...so a total of 240 LB's. The original stock 18" are 29 LB's plus a tire...so that's about 55 pounds (total of 220 LB's). So I'm looking at a total of adding 20-30 more LB's to the truck. I don't go to the track and I am stock.

Thanks in advance for any advise.

Since you don't race and you are stock, I imagine that this wouldn't hurt you too bad.

One thing to always remember though when talking about weight - rotational weight is worse for performance then weight (almost) anywhere else!

have you seen 20" on a lightning? How do they look? I've been told that the new 05/06 is going to have 22".

Thanks
