How much power/TRQ is the STOCK FUEL SYSTEM good for

I know it depends on the tune whether or not you are running rich or lean and a variety of other factors,

But with a stock fuel system, Stock fuel pumps, Clean Filter and Stock Injectors, how much power can you get out of the engine?

Without Nitrous or course!

I need to know also

I'm trying to decide on the 50 #'s or leave the 42#'s and if i do this injector swap ,will the stock pumps be sucked dry and need changing as well?

OR just leave the stock system alone and pray nothing bad happens

I'm scared..... Magnum,stock block,16#'s, Full bassani w/cats

Help

I think 500/600 is still plenty do-able with the stock fuel system

Nitrous or no Nitrous, HP IS HP and mine seems to dump plenty of fuel at those numbers

If your really concerned with high HP fuel delivery, Id run an upgraded line and pump kit like this one. Tommy will have them soon.

Rob,

When running a wet nitrous system, you are only verifying that the stock lines and pump are big enough... The injectors dont get taxed with a Wet-System...

I made 466 / 605 SAE with no problems on a completly stock fuel system (No Boost-a-pump and no nitrous)

I think right around there is the cutoff point.. As soon as I got into the 495-500rwhp area I could never get enough fuel to it with the stock system...

Upgraded my pumps/injectors/lines/filter/rails/regulator and havent had a problem since.

So with 16 pounds and Magnum on stock block
Do I even need to upgrade w/ (460rwhp/570rwtq) +Daily driver

And if i do what first, Injectors, pumps, fuel lines?

Just as Dale said........stock pumps/injectors are fine for the 450/460 rwhp.

After that your just playing Russian Roulette. I have since upgraded to the 55lb injectors and the BIG MOUTH 255 gph pumps.

What Rob doesn't realize is he is dumping fuel around the injectors with his wet kit. And he is correct...he is dumping fuel

But you going way past 460/570 like 500/600 thats quite a difference for injector sizes

All I want and need for now is just 450-460hp and 550-570tq with the stock fuel system

Currently have 404/505 w/ eaton 2.80 upper and 4# lower

With Magnum 2.70 and 4# lower and 100 mm idler pulleys ready for self install im just trying to get into the 11's with a daily driver on 93 octane and a safe A/F ratio

I dont care if its an 11.999999999

It will be done before Oct 2 for the Ford VS GM smackdown!!!!

You may be going way past too!

I would suggest 100% race gas when you dyno. If you lean out you will have safety cushion.

Be careful... Be smart.

I was told by our injector rep that with a 2.6 upper and a 4 lb lower. I was at 98% of my injectors duty cycle. I can't comment on everyones set up just mine.

Does this mean I do need bigger than 42# injectors?

That pic of your polished mag is sick
I'm just going to powdercoat my mag and intake both black and go with the sleeper look, only if I could just get hear not to scream so loud that is......
