Calling all Western Lightnings -- track day

SVTOA ‘Howling at Buttonwillow’ Regional On Track Event
Buttonwillow Raceway Park - Buttonwillow, CA
October 29 - 31, 2004
Come join the SVTOA Western Region for our annual ‘On Track’ driving event at Buttonwillow Raceway on Halloween weekend. This is the newest track in the Western Region and boasts a smooth surface and almost 3 miles of twists, turns, dips and straights.
Five chapters are presenting the On Track ‘Howling’: Arizona, LA/OC, NorCal, San Diego, and So Cal. All of our members from the western states, and those in locations farther east are welcome! We expect a large caravan from Arizona and another from the great Northwest, come join the fun!
Jeff Lacina, SVTOA's lead instructor, has studied the track and pronounced it to have an incredible surface. His team of instructors will coach every member from first time performance drivers to seasoned ‘track-dogs’.
The Buttonwillow Raceway is located just off Interstate 5, mid-way between San Francisco and San Diego. It lends itself to camping and motor homes; hotel accommodations are also available. On Saturday night we will have a California Bar-B-Q, featuring an old-fashioned bonfire and plenty of entertainment. Plus, we'll feature an auction of automotive memorabilia, proceeds of which will benefit a popular charitable organization.

Friday, October 29
Open Track (no instruction) and Pre Registration at Buttonwillow Raceway Park
Saturday, October 30
Registration/Tech Inspection
Open Track (with instruction)
Vendor Fair (including Maxim Motors - Maximum Motorsports will be available for car setups, advice AND will have demo vehicles for ride alongs!)
BBQ/Bonfire at Buttonwillow (costumes welcome and encouraged!)
Sunday, October 31
