Napa Gave me Free Tornado hah!

i went by our local Napa store today and i was talking to this guy about the tornado fan, i asked him if it worked and he said yeah blah blah blah. well the point here is since i live in a small town he asked me what kinda car i drive. i said a lightning he said well we will give u one and u tell us how it works. so bassically i thnk they are trying to use me as a test subject saying "if it worked on a supercharged lightning it will work for ur car!"

but i might be wrong, ne ways.

all of u guys rock @$$ thanks for putting up with my dumb noob questions

Good luck with your experiment, if you have time, search for the tornado on the forums. There's a LOT of FUNNY posts, they're worth reading for a chuckle or two.

I'd still love to hear how it works for you.

I Heard that it gives only half the increase you get from a "boost by pass".

thats smart..........resrict the airflow to the engine/whine maker. Maybe next you should just put up a wall in the intake?

Tornado is a non-moving turbine shaped device, which creates a vortex or swirling effect to the engine. The result is improved airflow into the engine's combustion chamber, causing a more efficient mixture between air and fuel. TORNADO fits most cars and will work in either a carbureted or electronic fuel injected engine.

That is a quote from the Tornado website. If you put it in you'll need a phenolic spacer to straighten it back out. (I have a spacer on order)

Yes, please post the results. My opinion is it's a bad idea to put any restriction on the intake side of a blower. I'm guessing you'll see less boost on the gauge and lose power. Can't really be any other way.

Let us know.

I don’t think anyone was directing it at you personally...just ignore the negative people and you’ll be fine... As far as knowing everything about your truck, don’t worry...in reality, a lot of people on here don’t know jack... you learn as you go, and a lot of it is speculation and opinion anyhow...some people just like to ride new guys to make themselves feel better/smarter

I wouldnt stop posting man. Most all of those posts were knocking the product, not you.

But I bet 100% of those who posted are curious to see actual #'s, good or bad.

Even if you do decide to stop posting. Searching the board's old posts is where I get 99.99999% of my info.

That's B.S. I have read through most all of your posts and 90% of the time everyone has been very nice to you and wished you well. Are you old enough to drive an L?
