Pulley Change Help

I have just changed my stock lower pulley and in the process of removing the actual pulley a washer fell out from between the crank pulley and lower blower pulley. My question is should there be a bolt through the center of the crank pulley to hold it on,because there is not one on mine. Firstly Seems odd that there was a loose washer to start with? nad secondly if there is supposed to be a bolt there what size is it? Any help would be greatly appreciated, as I don't want to test drive my truck until I know it is safe.

First I have to know what type of new pulley are you using? If it has 3 allen head bolst that go with it, then no, you don't need a center bolt...

I am just using an interchangeable pulley and I know there is 3 bolts to tighten that up. The question is what holds the other inner pulley (the one that drives the alternator etc) onto the crank, because it appears to have a center bolt missing.

YES, there should definately be a bolt holding your harmonic balancer onto the crankshaft!

that bolt uses a fairly large (thick) washer behind it, that may be what fell out?

Thats okay. The pulley in the picture is the exact one I have. You do not know the size of the bolt do you? Is it a bolt I could get from a local auto shop?

I don't know the size of the bolt, sorry, but I'll look in my manuals...where did it fall out? Could you not find it?

Can you get under there and get a picture for us to look at? Might make it easier for us to get a grasp on what'd going on...
