Pillar gauge pods....

First off does anyone have pics of their L's with the Full Pillar Gauge Pods? Next, I'm assuming the full pillar gauge pods for an F150 will work, considering we have that extra handle (03 L, that can be removed). Am I correct? I have 3 gauges laying around from my Turbo WS6 setup that I'd like to use on the L. Thanks.

Here's what I've got on my 02

Mine is an early 02, so I had the rounder handle. Others may chime in about the fit on later models. I used the Lotek pilat pod and recycled gauges from my old Cobra.

The handle bolt attachment points makes an excellent pre-threaded grounging point also.

Check out Tim's website for good how-to's and lots of good photos.

I used Tim's multiple sender idea for the temps. The switch is a three way to switch the Trans Temp gauge to read water temp or oil temp. Right now it's rice, as I don't have the other two senders hooked up yet.

I'll be swapping my EGT for a Wideband Commander this weekend, as the EGT reads way high all the time (hoepfully in error - ). I bury the needle past 1650 un the 1/4. I'll trust the wideband more. Anyway, the wideband had a switch and LED to enable/disable local datalogging. I've seen that installed on the column pod housing, but that is awkward to reach when setting up the a 1/4 mile pass. It'll probobly wind up on the pilar pod too.

Thanks for the compliments Sly and good luck with yours.

And, if you see this, thanks Tim - your site is want prompted this install and was practically a step-by-step walkthough - Good Job on the documentation!

Hey Herb101,
I am trying to do the same setup with the 3-way switch, but I am having trouble finding one that isn't a "center off" switch, meaning the center selection of the switch is off. Could you tell me where you got your switch from?

My pleasure, Herb. I did the writeup because it was such a frustrating and time-consuming task. One of those things that I had to ask whether it is worth it. But if someone else has already worked out the bugs . . .

Wayne, Did you have to paint the Autometer?
