Pause while accelerating?

I have started to notice that between 40 and 50 MPH, second geer, that if I am just slight accelerating that at one point it seems the power drops for a split second and then comes back. Do you all have any ideas to why it would be doing this? I have a custom tune from Sal and it did not do this at first but seems to be doing it more and more lately.

Thanks,

Jay

I've had the same thing happen to me. A member at FTW told me it was the torque converter locking.

Is that something that will need to be replaced? Does fine on WOT so I figure it is ok but just want to make sure.

Thanks

Check dyno sheets on all 99 and 00 Lightnings. You`ll notice that there will be a spike or dip about half way through the graph. That`s the converter locking up.
Now check out the dyno sheets of any 01-04 truck. No spike. Differences in computers I guess.

Shouldn't a custom tune get rid of that then?

T/C unlocking/locking can be tuned out so it's locked when appropriate. One of my chips caused the unlocking and it was changed/tuned correctly. Mine is an 01 but it was the chip causing the problem.

I have a 2001 and usually around 3,000 RPM at WOT (or near WOT) i'll get a slight "hesitation".. but whats weird is the tachometer doesn't reflect the hesitation.. the speedometer does.. is this the TC?
