WOW, what a mess ( I`m not refering to RED`s work bench). I can`t believe all that oil from a truck with no extra boost. It goes to show how every truck is different. My 2000 had no rotor flaking at 30k.

Yeah man, sometimes my entire work area looks like ground zero. As long as somebody doesn`t walk by and move something, I`m okay.

I agree, just don't touch my mess, and I get along fine.

teflon coating of the rotor blades.

It won't stay onthe rotors and they flake off down into the IC.

I don't even want to know what my 99 looks like

Luckily it has just about 40K on it, but it must be real dirty. How hard a job is this to do and what would I need to do it? Not tools, but would I need new sealant, ect.?

http://lightning-enterprise.com/pcv.html

DEF worth the $25.00 (won't stop 100%, [b]BUT IT WILL STOP PROB 90%)

Mine @12K
(and believe me, it's WOT or 1320ft at a time of 12K)

I did not touch mine when I took the SC off, What you see is what I had, -->NOTHING

BTW
I do also believe the N20 helps keep it clean also

no sealant, just need a few sockets and extensions,...straight forward and easy.

the passenger side aft blower bolt cant be removed with the blower in place because it lifts out and contacts the cab (firewall). Break it loose and leave it , when your ready to lift the supercharger simply guide it out as you lift the blower out. On reinstallation set the blower on a couple of inches fwd of its final location... stick the bolt into the blower hole and lift the blower in place and drop the bolt into place....adds about 20 seconds to the install...

when you get to the intercooler removal...which is just 4 bolts, pull the coolant lines loose where they go from soft to hard lines and cap them off when you pull them apart and if you do it right you wont loose any coolant....do it wrong and you only loose a few ounces ...have a towel in place.

I think the rotor coating was changed in 2001. Flaking seems like less of an issue for 99-00.

I'm thinking heat may have something to do with how fast the teflon flakes off of the rotors. When I bought my 03 the intercooler wasn't working I just didn't know it.

I don't recall how many miles I ran without an intercooler but it was a while and I did WOT blast constantly as well as raced at the track as much as I could. You can imagine what kind of heat was being generated without an intercooler here in South TX. It's just a theory I have.
