How do you change the pulley on the alt?

probably won't make a huge difference, but it's better to be safe than sorry.
your best bet is to get access to an impact gun and the proper size socket, the nut and washer will come right off, then the pulley just slides off.
make sure that the housings on both alternators are the same, and don't interfere with the pulley swap.
good luck.

I put the new alt on without changing the pulley since I didn't have to tools at my disposal and would otherwise be stranded. It is now sqeaking very bad. When I have other transportation, I will take both alts to a parts store and have them switch the pulleys.
Am I correct that a sqeaking belt could mean that it is slipping?
