Question Rancho Style or Cal Tracks? Please Post your thoughts and 60 foot times here!

I currently have the good ol truck tracks, and I havent ever cut better than a 1.77(this was right after track prep I fell good fortune of)
I have 28 x 10 x 16 Hoosier Slicks
8lbs of extra boost Good Chip 12.59 on that run
I have done plenty of passess so dont talk to me about Air Pressure and ideal RPM launch I am fine there.

I am thinking that I normally see the good 60 foot times out of either Racho Style or Cal Tracks, so I am kinda running a poll for some ideas.

Please let me know your thoughts on what you have, and post your times(Consistent times) specially if you have similar boost.
I have no upgraded cams. And Blower is stock

Also if you upgraded shocks let me know that too

Thanks
Hey a serious post from DEIMATT?? Must be raining out...Oh it is!!

HA HA
THANKS

What air pressure you running at and what RPM you launching from??

I'm sure my 1.93 achieved with Racho style will impress the hell out of you, but it was on F1's..

Consistant high 1.6's with the best of a 1.67 on the JLP rancho style bars.

with Rancho type bars and your mods you should be able to pull mid 1.6 60' times. Run 16 psi in the slicks.

My BEST 60'S were with the Cal's 1.52's but the a$$ end would jump and bounce I know have the rancho style fixed the bouncing but slowed it to a1.56

I've had 3 diff types of Bars so far

Hellwig Traction Control Springs: (actually worked very well)

The Truck Traks: lots of 1.6's, a few low 1.7's
Ran my 11.81 with them and multi 12.0's

I found NO BETTER 60ft time with the 58" Rancho Style Bars
(I use Now) AND I REALLY HATE WHAT THEY DID TO MY RIDE
But I did cut a 1.61 with them last time out

With the TT's at the 12.2 "and faster ET level", I found the launch to be very violent, and once had to actually back out of it and give up the pass

The Rancho's are by far a better bar for launching,
and also best to prevent the rear from snapping a Drive Shaft.
I have vids of me with both, and MAN OH MAN do you see a HUGE DIFF , they give you a great launch, AND NO MORE VIOLENT LAUNCHES

Rob,

So what did the Ranchos do that made you hate the ride?

Thanks,
Edward

I put the Rancho bars on first thing ,figured if it's what the fast trucks were using at the time, I should'nt ever have to upgrade. a little overkill for some but why redo?
as for the ride I did'nt notice much change, a bit stiffer but not bad. could say it makes it ride like a TRUCK
Also if the truck gets the same 60s and is less violent on take off, seems they are easier on the truck all around
My best was a 1.77 60ft 12.65 at 108 w/hooisers 28x10x16s

There's your answer Ed

Not a MAJOR diff,
BUT A NOTICABLE ONE

Think about it,
your taking the rear end of your Truck, (that use to move, twist, and swivel) and BOLTING it SOLID to the middle Front of the Chassis.

BUT as said they are better for launching, so I guess like the
FTVB, you HAVE TO give up a little comfort to give strength and
safety to the ever increasing Power we throw at it.

IMO, it should've been my first choice, and IS the best choice,
just wish the ride was like it use to be.....
