Just can't get 11's

We rented MIR yesterday and I ran 13 times and the best I could get was a 12.02 @ 113.8mph with a 1.75 60'. I have a KB @ 15#'s, PSP cold air, FTVB, e-fan, Nitto's, slapper bars, and qa-1's up front. I tried slicks and they wouldn't lower the sixty. I didn't spin 1 time all day. I think I am at the limit of the stock converter. No matter how aggressive I launched I couldn't spin. It was 77* when I got my best, so maybe when I go back in 2 weeks for ford fever it will be cooler and that will do the trick. I really want to get the 11 on the nitto's in street rim. The only thing different at the track then how I drive it every day is the tailgate removal. What do you guys think?

Cooler air should deff. put you there, I know it's debatable "everything is" but what about something besides slappers? could you get there without going through the expense and hassle of changing the convertor?

I'm always looking for the easy out, seems other devices are no more expensive than the labor to change a convertor, plus your upgraded to what youll need in the next .5 sec. prob. anyway.
GOOD LUCKan 11 is waiting for you at the other end

you are so close....you've got the mph to do it. all of my 11.80-90 passes have been at 113mph.

it'll happen soon.

sorry I couldn't make the track rental day. damn work always getting in the way of fun...

Add a pound of boost, and you will be there. I wsa running 1/8ths last weekend, and got 7.5's on Hoosiers and 7.6's on Nitto's @16 pounds of KB boost. That is basically 11.7's on the Hoosiers and 11.8~11.9's on Nitto's. My 60fts on Hoosiers were 1.70(little spin) 1.74 on Nitto's(eased it out of the hole)

I know it's close, I was just too impatient on cool down time. My two best times were the first after 1.5 hr cool down (12.05) and 2 hr cooldown (12.02). It's just so hard to not go run when there is an empty track at you fingertips.

If I would have added the 3" pulley on 1 of the cool runs I know I would have gotten it. I added the pulley and then ran it again with no gain, due to the engine being hot I'm sure.

I can't bitch too much though, I drove the truck 2.5 hrs to the track, took off the tailgate, ran looow 12's 13 times , put the tailgate back on, then drove 2.5 hours back home. All with not 1 problem. I don't think there are too many vehicles out there that can do what these trucks do.

It was supposed to be 8 of us but ended up only being 6. $800 for 8 cars to have 1 prepped lane from 9am to 5 pm. Well worth the money when compared to dollars per run. I'm pretty sure we are gonna do it again in the spring. By the way here is a vid of my run.
