going to the track this weekend...

I'm going to the 1/4 mile track this weekend and it'll be my first time ever.
I have an all stock '03.

Any tips?

go before the light turns green
and dont mash it all the way instantly cause it wont work

i usally drive around the water and then mash it just to get the tires clean smoking stock tires hasnt helped me

Focus !!! get to the track early and watch others at the starting line for the first 1/2 hour or so and concentrate on reacting to the the light tree so when its your time you will be ready.

Watch the lights and practice in your mind so you will get a good reaction time. Watch how cars enter the lights with the front wheels ....and above all dont be nervous...focus...

also, remove your hitch and spare tire and put the air pressure in the F-1's to around 30 psi.

depending on track condition you should be able to mash the gas from the start...or quickly lay into it ..

Go around the water box and do a small 1st gear burnout for about 4 seconds on your F-1's.
