Rods just came in.. what am I missing for a built motor?

OK lets see here (Just changing rods)

I now have:

H-beam rods
ARP Main studs
ARP Head studs
Rod bearing
Main Bearings
Rod bearings

Need to get:

head gaskets
High volume oil pump
---------------------------------------------

Am I missing anything else? Do I need more gaskets? The oil pan gasket is re-usable right? Any other odds and ends I need to get before I get the motor pulled out? Do I need new rings for the stock pistons? Motor has 30k miles on it.

Thanks, J

I wouldn't bother with the Cobra oil pump but you might get the billet GT gears for your stocker but I don't even think that is needed. Things change and now the Cobra pump is not really recomended and I don't like the way the pickup fits the stock pan anyway. Dale

Sounds about right to me AND CONGRATS BRO

I'm addressing the 3 main issues myself, Rods, Spitting Plugs, and lifting or leaking Heads.

ARP Head Studs
ARP Main Studs
Custom CP Pistons
FMS High Volume Oil Pump
Manley Forged H-beam Rods (we're using something dif, 1200 HP)
ModMax Plasma Moly Ring set
Performance Main Bearings
Performance Rod Bearings
My Heads are having Inserts put in
The New and Improved Head Gaskets from Ford
Motors being Balanced and Blue Printed

A little more Boost, AND A LOT MORE NITROUS

Rob, I believe the rods your using are the Manley vacume degassed billet I-beam rods with 7/16 bolts. The same ones I have. SHM also makes a nice rod rated to 1800 hp. But at 2200.00 they are pretty pricey.

ford racing sells a head changing kit that includes alot of what you need, you can also find a lower end gasket kit.

www.modularperformance.com stocks alot of that stuff.

Thanks! And congrats to you too! I know you have been wanting a built motor for a long time now. I wish you the best of luck with the build up and hope to see some crazy times from you soon.

Thats prob them Bro, because when I asked Sal what the Diff

Pete, I thought you had the eagle h-beams with arp 2000 bolts? That was in your old motor i guess, I haven't been keeping up with your progress.

Rob, you're probably getting forged rods with the upgraded ARP 2000 rod bolts then. Billet Rods like Pete's are $1200+ for a set.
