Rice.....

So, after reviewing a few threads about rice cars, I have a question, what do you view as ricing-out regarding our L's?.....

Some people say the 01+ tails are rice, others say the projector headlights and clear corners are rice..... What do you think?

Huge non-functional spoiler on the rear (not Ruslow style though)

Hmm... I can't think of anything else..

I've seen bagged L's and they look bad a$$
I've seen lowered L's Ditto.
I've seen all types of custom Graphics... Ditto
I've seen chromed engine parts ---ditto
I've seen 22" on L's... Not my cup of tea, but filled the wheel opening nicey.
Haven't seen much Neon on L's.

Oh OH OH I know...
Roll cages made out of PVC pipe. that's kinda ricey

Well clear tail-lights on anything but a Lightning are rice to me. But as far as headlights and turn signals go they are just bada$$. To me the 2001+ lights are perfect for our trucks.

I agree.. but, the only cars to Originally sport the Euro style or Altezza style are the Lexus IS300 (i.e. Toyota Altezza in Japan) and the rx 300 suv's........

But then they came on the L's stock as well as the Lancer Evos and the other smack crackerjack box stlye mitsu....

so, are the Automotive companies (Ford, Toyota..ect....) to blame for "ricing" the vehicles too????

I told someone I wanted the black-out 01 style tails for my L and they accused me of ARROZERIA which is ricing-out in spanish....

Rice would be if our trucks ran 15-35 second 1/4 mi times stock.

A slow car isn't necessarily rice. Would a Dodge Caravan be considered rice by your standards? Or a Ford Taurus?

Winshield banners, rear spoilers, and anything too bling bling.

And Ford DID rice the rear tail light lenses.

here is my truck, which most people would consider a bit riced out. My definition of a Rice is when that vehicle has "performance" added items such as huge spoilers on a FWD car, or huge tachs when not nessecary. Rice is more when people try to make their car look like something its not by adding cheap alternitves, EX: cutting springs rather than buliding the suspension correctly

Black out lights front&rear have been around for decades, long before rice, I think they look sweet on any black vehicle.
and no problem since you have the early Non Euro lighted L.

Any clear lens setups I'd consider just an upgrade to the newer years style "although I prefer the stock clears"

It's your truck, your wallet, we all have differant taste, as you can see.
enjoy, and mod it how you like it. Only apease others if they're paying for it
