Correct me if I'm wrong, but when I hear all these guys (F150online members) talking about you getting modded, you can't do the mods we can here in the U.S., right? Don't the mods have to have some type of permit or license to be legal in Germany? Basically, you'll probably be staying stock (other than a tuner and exhaust) unless you can find mods/parts that will be legal in Germany?
If that's the case, that sucks. I wonder why they have all the rules/regs. they do for vehicles. Must be a pollution control thing, huh?
I had relatives that lived in Germany for some time and they once told me about these type of rules/regulations. Not sure how accurate they were though.

Hi Steve!
You are right!
The time i made the video the only mod was my MAC Cat Back.
Now i got my CAI.
But.....
In germany you need for every mod a TÜV Certificate. There are no parts with certificate from the USA. Nothing i´ll change on my "L" will be legal here.
New US cars need a special TÜV test for getting legal in gemany.
As my "L" was there, the TÜV said the STOCK EXHAUST is to loud !!!!
My dealer builds some "downpipes" to make it a little quieter. (only for certificate) After this last exhaust testing day, i ordered my MAC Cat Back
The only good thing is:
The german cops don´t know whats legal on the Lightning and whats not... (I hope)
But the sound of my Cat Back and the CAI now is not legal here... every time i´m watching back, forward and to the sides for cops with open ears...
For my CAI i have ordered some FORD decals now, makes it look more like stock

Cool, sounds like you have the right idea with the stickers. And what the cops don't know won't hurt them (on the L that is)

well they don't what's inside the motor. you could build the motor (port the heads), have the supercharger ported, have the intake ported.
The Officials would never know. Unless they tore the engine apart or new the exact specs of the heads or supercharger.
(sorry about that web hosting, I forgot it was limited to a 2mb limit)

Andre04, WAY off topic:
While in Athens for work, there was 1 German TV station that showed the US MTV "pimp my ride" about 8 hours a day, followed by several hours of German "pimp my bike"..........Not motorcycles, but some guys rusted old Schwin Every commercial was for cell phone ring tones too. Just made me laugh.
