Looks like my L's alive and doing well

Just got another email from the Manager of the dealership that bought my L. He had sent me an email about the post where the L kicks the crap out of the SRT - 10 truck. It was a dark shadow gray like mine. I told him that the L in the video was only running on his 390 HP setting and my L is 420 HP so it should be faster still. I asked him if he had raced his friends new C6 yet, and this was the response I got.

I didn't see anything but the 1/4 mile run. The L was 1/2 the track length
ahead! I will kick my friends a$$ in the Vette, but the roads have to be
dry first! As you say, the L breaks loose easily. I'll let you know when I
have the vette for lunch.

John

I was LMAO when I read this. Hard to believe a sales manager for a dealership would get this excited about a truck he purchased for his dealership. He said he really doesn't want to sell it now.

hey mart man,

i really wish i knew you were selling your lightning
cuz i would have seriously given you more than
that dealership gave you. everytime, i see a
picture of your truck, it bums me out man.

next time, dont go sneaking off and selling anything
without telling "the brotherhood" first.

o well....i'll just let out another forlorn sigh.....

Thanks for the compliment. The only reason I didn't post here was because there are so many saying the $25K is too much for a used L and telling them to buy new '04's for $26K. So, rather than arguing west coast vs east coast pricing, I just put it on Auto Trader. Took me about 2 weeks to sell.

The last new ones and the newest used ones in my area have gone up in price over the last few months. A few months back, the posts boasted $26K-$28K and now the latest Florida post moans "They aren't coming off the price."
