Question FTVB Help w/ Tranny Filter Part #

So I'm going to be installing the FTVB tomorrow or Friday... I went to the Ford dealer to pick up the Mercon and a new tranny filter.

I'm keeping my stock pan - so I give them the part number listed on the install sheet. The parts guy says that is not a part that is listed in the system (F3TZ-7G186-AB) He says that the filter for the 4R100 is YC3Z-7A098-AA... He also said there was one other filter for the 4R100, but that the two are basically the same.

So I'm turning to you guys for help! What gives - is this just another Ford Parts guy that can't do his job?

Thanks In Advance,
Jeff

The filters are availible for aboout half the price from AutoZone etc... as Deutch TF-350 for the stock shallow pan and TF-325 for the deep pan. It's the exact same part as the Ford ones (which have Motorcraft Numbers, I think F-113 and F-114) just without the Motorcraft box.

hope this helps,

G

Thanks everyone.... went to autozone and picked it up. Took 2 mins - unlike the 30 mins at the Ford dealer.

Doing the install tomorrow!
