They are an integral part of the suspension.

Only Look at the "wheelie bar" and watch hos much it atually moves, especially when they lift off the gas.
That's great, but it's still ugly and unnecessary.

Forgive me for having an opinion that isn't congruent with the rest of the sheep.

When your making around 1,000rwhp these Trucks sometimes wanna Move around & do strange things. If the 4-Link is set Up Correctly the truck will Leave with the front tires Carrying over the Race Track for about the first 50 - 60 ft. Out. If the 4-Link is Not Set Up Correctly & you don't have wheelie bars then you can put the Truck on the Back Bumper & come down Hard & Break Parts. This is something that you do Not wanna do. I personally would rather be safe than sorry. I'm Not sure what Johnny & Charlie are doing for a Transmission but when you have a 4500 Stall Converter & a Trans Brake and You let Go of the Button You will be Glad you have those Wheelie Bars. Good Luck Guys. I Hope to See You @ Cecil County in April.

We see bumpers dragging on a regular basis at our local track. Heck, my 93 Coupe has the possibility of dragging the bumper if it hooks up right and I launch off the brake hard enough. It's around 600rwhp and 3000lbs. I think a 3900lb Gen2 with a 4 link and 900lbs of torque could do the same!

no man, don't take it that way,.. I was just saying that sometimes it's necessary.

Heck I'd probably trip over the dang things everytime I walked behind the truck.

I'm sure Johnny would like to save the money so why not offer up the alternative since it isn't necessary. Don't take this as a slam, but from what I remember about physics is the more power you waste lifting your car up in the air the less you'll have to use in the forward direction.

Yup.

Ever watch a SSO or Pro 5 car leave........the fronts lift only a couple inches (max).

Lets wait and see if it even pulls a tire first, then I'll argue some more
