Finally getting to see some of these units in a truck besides mine. Man that SVT looks awesome. Mark sent me the "revised" plate since my franken-plate guinea pig one was alittle rough. I just got it today, but I'm thinking I may need to order an SVT logo'd one..

I'll be using bolts for mine as well.

Mark, if you read this thread, thanks for putting up with me and helping me get these things made. You da man!

If you were to get the 3 guages one, would there be a way to remove the hvac controls and replace them with a single din deck? I was thinking of maybe using an expy overhead console and using the hvac controls on there. Would only work if a single din deck would fit in place of original hvac controls. Anyone know?

Would it be better to tap in to the dimmer lead rather that the illumination? I haven't put a meter to it but i am guessing that the illum will be 12v and the dimmer lead will make the voltage vary.

Wow, that looks really bright. Is it just the picture is it blinding and distracting at night?

Also, did you get the button screws or the tape? I want to see how one attatches with the screws. I don't know what it would actually screw into, anyone know??

Looks good though, btw where did you get those AC *****?

It is pretty bright guys. I may have to add another diffuser behind the plate it starts to bother me it looks amazing in the truck.

The billet I have in the truck came from here...

It the satin stuff not the polsihed.

The head unit is an Alpine CDA - 7875.

I just ordered mine from them, got a couple of ?

Does this go in front of the radio cage that sits in the install kit or does the cage go through the aluminum faceplate? Also does the trim piece that comes with the radio sit fit on the radio?

Do you have any more pic's that are closer with some detail? Also, what wire did you connect the power to? Sorry for all the questions, but I have to wait another week till it gets here.

Bob: I took a piece of computer paper, folded it in half and cut that to fit, then taped it in. The two layers of white printer paper dimmed it perfectly.

Ghetto Fabulous!

The inside of your truck looks like the Vegas strip at night.
