as one of the resident SRT-10 experts.

1. NO ONE makes a chip for the srt-10. They may reprogram/reflash the computer, but there is NO CHIP!

2. PULLIES? Are you talking about underdrive pullies? No such thing.

3. They gain substantial HP/TRQ when they start changing the restrictive exhaust and add hi-flow cats

4. It's a stick... Odds are on the launch (unless he's REAL GOOD) the rear tires will go up in smoke spinning.

5. They can't put a slick on back without MAHOR modifications. You need at least a 18" rim to fit over the massive rear rotors and brake calipers



To answer your question:
If you launch good and do not spin off the line, you'll eat his a$$.
If you spin and fall behind, don't expect to catch up (unless he misses a gear)

I'd do it! Then video tape him handing you the money! Hell you could sell copies for $1 each.

 

Film it!!!! You will DESTROY him! I had some guy want to beat my azz cause I wouldn't race him. Said his turd ran 12.5's all day. Well unfortunatly for him, it may run those times all DAY but that NIGHT he only ran 14.3 hahahahahahaha

 

There was a guy at Portland International Raceway with a Viper, not sure which year... but anyway, when he lined up people started talking. He didn't launch at all and was nearly beaten by a ricer. People started laughing at him. I'm pretty sure he ran a 14.4@110. I really wish I had gone up against him, I run low 14s in my Jeep, so I would have most likely beat him down the track.

Woulda had it on film too.

my roomate from school works at a subaru dealership and for some reason they bought a SRT-10 at auction. he is going to "take it out to gas it up" and we are going to race. it is bone stock and he is a decent driver. i have a '03 with only an intake(don't worry i will be visiting JDM this summer) what do you think will happen? i think i am going to win. hopefully i will get this on film!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! svtpete, too bad he backed off that sounded like an easy $250-500 to me! i'll let you guys/girls know when this happens. i hope the L will come out on TOP!!
P.S. i will NOT spin my tires on the start so don't worry about that!

hey rob. i wish I would have gotten that on tape! He did miss 2nd... two times.... hahaha. That would have been real embarassing though. I'm going to be back in town the first week of april.. and we're definitely going to have to go to PIR or get some racing footage elsewhere of you and me dude.

 

lol this is some funny stuff.....the guys are just talk and then whimp out when it comes down to the show...pete i know you would take him with you pully and chip it shouldnt be a problem....i can't wait for this spring and summer when my brother is ganna start racing his lightning for the first year i hope to god we can run into an srt 10 at the track that is stock like my brothers because im pretty sure he could take one and im ganna be rolling laughing in the bleachers
