Lowering the L in rear

Looking to lower my 04 L (with stock suspension) about 2" in the rear to kinda level it out! Any suggestions, best products, etc?
Thanks

I have JLP 4" drop shackles in the back, it would look level except I dropped the front 1". I plan on installing fiberglass leafs in the back to help. I was planning on pulling one leaf out of the rear to help, prior to the fiberglass leafs idea.

2 inch drop shackles will do a good job of leveling it out. I installed some today and looks good, only took about 45min. I used belltech but everything's basically the same. Do a search and look at some pictures there are plenty of posts on this.

There are several solutions to the problem. Probably the best is to find a set of 1999 through 2002 Lightning rear springs. They sit almost 2 inches lower, offer a better ride and are a complete bolt in. The GVWR change for 2003 and 2004 mandated much stiffer rear springs and increased the ride height by about 1 3/4". Drop shackles will help, but the stiff ride remains. Removing a leaf and using drop shackles brings it down about 3", improves the ride and is pretty expensive. I prefer to remove the middle leaf.

I've read where you don't actually get a full 2" drop with the 2" shackles on the 04 models. Is this true or do I need to go with 3" shackles to realize a full 2" drop?
What do you recommend since you just completed an install?

JLP three inch netted me about 2 and 5/8ths drop. I don't have any problems and like the stance.

I used the 2" shackles made for a chevy. They make your L drop the whole 2 inches unlike the 2" shackles made for ford that don't acuttly lower your rear end the whole 2 inches and they fit just the same but give you the full 2" drop.

Yeah, sold the L in December. Not really beating the guy up. I just couldn't wait to post the new spank me and search thingy I found. Guess I should have thrown this in so people knew I was kidding, but you can only have like three pictures. WTF.

Peace

Here's the deal on the drop shackles. The shackles actually raise the rear of the spring (making it closer to the body). Since the front of the spring does not move, the middle of the spring (where the axle is bolted) moves only half of what the shackles move the rear of the spring. So, the drop shackles have to be 4 inches longer than stock to drop the truck 2 inches.

I put the Beltech 2" shackles on mine, and didn't get much out of it. I've read time and again about removing a leaf, but how do you do that? I got up underneath, and all the leafs are clamped except for the tiny half leaf at the bottom. How do you remove a leaf when it's held together by clamps at either end?
