KB, stock block, pump gas, 20psi ----> 1/8 mile tonight!

Thanks to Casey02L for the help tonight and the lending of his slicks. I had an awesome time and the KB seems to be rocking and rolling now after my troubles last week

Pump gas tune (RWTD!!!!) with 20-21psi of boost on stock block with all the supporting mods. Casey thinks where leaving a few tenths on the table but this tune owns me for the street. The truck runs like a champ so im gonna leave this tune in it. I just need a race gas tune and well really see what it will do.

Thanks again to Casey for letting me borrow his slicks!!!

First pass

60ft 1.78
mph 89.81
ET 7.74

The thing pulled so hard off the line it made me dizzy for a split second, and hurt my neck a little bit. Casey and my buddy Dan believe that I let out of it for a split second during that time, im not sure really what happend but I never felt anything like that.

2nd pass ----> Casey Driving.

60ft 1.71
mph 90.31
ET 7.62

3rd and last pass (decided to quit while I was a head)

60ft 1.74 <<----truck spun hard in first and a lil going into 2nd gear.
mph 90.00
ET 7.68

Bob

PS. I think I am safely in the 11's?

Nice times....Something you said got my attention. My truck recently received a longblock making around 650 H.P. she runs low elevens with no effort. I have begun to experience the whip lash affect. I actually ended up at the hospital thinking I was having a damned heart attack because the pain got so bad in my back between my shoulders. The doctor said it was like getting whip lash every time I launched.

I know this is a bit off the point of your post, but I was inpired to read that I am not the only one who feels the neck snapping pain at times. I was told to try and keep my head planted against the seat, but it is hard to always remember to do it.

IMHO....your in the 11's...easy.

My last 4 to give an idea
7.57 @91.5=11.87
7.70 @91.6=11.99
7.58 @90.9=11.91
7.56 @89.5=11.89

The track wasn't the greatest, and the air was't the greatest either. And his tune is very safe! On the run I took I saw 10.9~11.2 A/F mostly 11.0~11.1

Better weather and it would go a 7.5 easy. RWTD get's the tuning done, and it'll go 7.4's or better!

Thanks all.

I took my wife to dinner and movie tonight and gave her a little taste of the KB. She has been in my 530rwhp Supra before and she thought the truck is actually faster. Must be the 600ft lbs @ 2000rpm it must be making.

I am so HAPPY right now, the truck is running like a champ and my KB appears to be in good health after about 250miles on it and multiple swings to near 21psi. I am pleased.

Man, you people have ***** of steel running the KB at 20-21 lbs of boost on a stock block. I am about to do 15 lbs and am scared of it blowing up. Regardless great times, keep it up

Block

The block will be fine with 20 PSI. It depends on the HP made because the weak link are the rods.

Agreed. I guess people are right when they say, "it's all in the tune"
