Acceleration - little problem - technical question

Hello !

It happens to me the second time now.

Iīve started at a green traffic with a longer wheel spin in the first gear.

The rpmīs goin up faster than the "L" moves. thats normal, i know but for a short time the rpm are going down like the engine will turn off and will turn up again.

It feels like the electrical traction control in our Company BMW.

What do you guys think ?

Could this be the result of using a 95mm Mass Air without a custom tune ???

If i hit the gas in the 1st gear hard but without wheel spin it not happens !

My actually engine Mods:

Mac Cat Back
C&L TrueFlow Pipe
CAI Mac/Motoblue 95 mm Mass Air System.

Thank you and greetings,

André

Andre, it sounds like the boost by pass. The tranny is set up to lower the rpm's during shifting to prolong the life of the tranny. Your tuner can adjust that. You also can do the boost by pass mod. Do a search for boost by pass. If you need e-mail me and I will respond with a link to what you need to do.

Peace, Suavy

PS. looks like we may need those Porsche parts soon.

I'm not having any luck with my truck!

Thank you Suavy, thank you Master!

Suavy,

iīve done the Search for the Boost Bypass and i think this was that what happend to me.

But it happens only in the 1st gear not during the shift into the 2nd !

Know i know what you are talking about when i read about your Boost Bypass talks :-)

Some things must happen to learn more about the Lightning!

So i am happy that this should be a normal "safety" reaction

What would you recommend me ?

I donīt do burnouts and most of the times i hit the gas harder in the 1st, is without wheel Spin. Would you do the "free Boost Bypass Mod " ???

Thank you !

---

Suavy what means No luck with your Lightning ???? what happend ?? I hope everything is ok !?

If you need your Porsche Parts i will be there anytime !

Greetings,

André

Andre',

Check out this site, I would recommend getting your tuner to do it with a tune. Some people just unplug the solenoid responsible for dumping boost, search on this site and you will find detailed info.
I do think I read that the boost dump remains for quite a few seconds, in other words it remains naturally aspirated until the code is reset???
Best of luck,
Bryan

that 95mm MAF is most likely making you run Lean.

Personally I'm AGAINST any type of MAF Except:
SCT aftermarkets
Ford 80 or 90mm

Anything else I don't trust
