Kenne Bell Gears

Has anyone had a problem with the spider gears and main gears in their Kenne Bell? The spider gear is found in the nose of the blower. I have had this contuous rattle for a little while now but the other day, the noise became a screech and.... . I pulled the snout off yesterday and the front gears are totally shot. Has anyone tried to replace these themselves or is it best to send it back to Kenne Bell?

To remove the gears; Do I just remove the large Allen Bolt in the centre?
Torque specs for the main gear bolts?
What type of oil do you put in these Blowers? 50w
Should I use gasket sealer on the housing? Or is a gasket available?
Does the spider gear go on only one way?
What size is the Allen Bolt on the main gears?

Thanks Horse9

Oil KB says to use is Redline 50 WT race oil. You have to be very carefull always checking the oil level as well as changing it every XXXXX miles(Cant rememebr the exact number but think its 12000 miles) as stated in the instructions.

I would call KenneBell and talk to their tech support.

Did oyu buy this blower used and not have the instructions? If so contcat KB and ask them to send you them or if oyu are stuck I can try to scan mine and send them to you.
