6 lightning engines?!?
Copied from another message board:
Since I know you have an affinity for Ford Lightnings I thought you might like this....
Yankee's uncle just purchased one
He liked its so much and was impressed with the engine that he decided to buy 6 more lightning engines and just for the hell of it 6 cobra engines.
He already sold 1 of the engines on ebay and made an $8000 profit. I'll let Yankee tell the rest of the story when he sees this post but here are some pics from his home workshop

Oh this guy's got money to burn and then some.
My Uncle came across a deal for the supposed last-of-the-line Lightning 5.4 Supercharged engines and the 390 horse 4.6 32V Cobra engines, he bought 6 of each (that's right - 6 each). He had all 12 engines lined up on the floor of his workshop, and needless to say my jaw hit the freakin floor when I saw all of this - I had never seen anything like it (and I'm sure I never will again). He paid 80 grand for all 12 engines. Now before any of you are thinking :loco consider this...
He put one of the Cobra engines on eBay with a Buy It Now price of $15,000. Within 5 hours, someone hit the BIN. :whoa So the first thing I told him was that if it sold for that quick at that price, he should "jack it up" a little and see what he could really get for them. But doing the math, even if he were to sell all 12 engines for only $15,000, he'd get a grand total of $180,000 - a net total profit of $100,000!! :whoa :whoa
He's keeping one of the Supercharged 5.4s for himself, though - he's got a 1950 Lincoln Cosmopolitan convertible that was my granddad's that he's restoring - that Supercharged 5.4 will make that car one true Hot Rod Lincoln! :burn

Its just help prove the old saying "Money breeds more money" . It is always better to buy things when you can find the best deal, not when you have to buy.
I do think he will do well with the cobra motors. They are a proven motor with a low deck for hoods.
Now the L motors he might not do as well. There is a lot of them out there. less applications and not as stout.
I am sure he will do just fine though.

And lemme guess, the guy who bought it on ebay lives in nigeria, is having trouble with the president , and desperately needs a money order cashed to pay for the motor. He just needs your banking information to complete the transaction. LOL
Definatly a nice pile of motors though.
