OK, let me get it out of the way...

Girls must post pics of themselves!!!

Also, if you've got a '99, do you know about the intercooler thing? Has your truck been updated? If not, or you're not sure, you need to take care of it ASAP.

What is wrong with the 99s? I think someone mentioned it to me once, and I asked the dealer and they said they knew nothing...so...

I have seen a black, white, red, and blue L all around the area where I live. They're all much nicer than mine, but I'm just starting out. lol. I'll have to keep an eye out and see if anyone recognizes me the next time I see a Lightning. If you see me, don't hesitate to make yourself noticed.
I have plenty of questions for you all:
What is a bed rug? Why should I choose it over a liner? My truck bed is very scratched up. I also need to find mats for my truck. The original ones have been replaced by generic ones. Where do I look? Hmmmm....anything else?

ByByBird--where in GB are you? SVT_2004--I'm flatterd. lol. Maybe I'll visit Ontario someday.
Oh, and a big THANK YOU! to 31Charlie for directing me to this site.

I don't have any pics of me with my L, but I am working on it. To see a pic of me, you can visit http://www.myspace.com/mingalou . That is where others are seeing my photos.

Thanks for the warm welcomes!!!
Minga

I work up in Baltimore a lot....on the hospital ship USNS Comfort that you can see from 95 by the Newkirk exit. I hope to see you at the track next time I get up there.

Anyhow, I'm Minga, 22 year old owner of a 99 red Lightning. I love my truck baby. I have to admit though that I know almost nothing about. I saw it when I was 16 and fell in love with it. Finally got one this year.

I just wanted to say hello to everyone.

Minga

Wsup, welcome to the site NewB.

I'm from Catonsville, just around the corner. In OC for hotrod week this week though.

Always good to get another L driver, and just another warning, modding can be come very addictive.

Not to hijack, but I reckon a lot of folks have this myspace thing huh.

What track is that? If it's Cecil County, let me know the next time you'll be up. I haven't had a chance to get there, yet.

I had no idea OC was having a hotrod week. I work all this week, but now I am seriously considering heading out Sat. night and returning for work on Sunday. I want to check it out.

The 1999 and 2000 had a problem with the intercooler. If you take it to a dealer (preferably and SVT dealer, or one you trust), they can run the VIN and make sure you had the new intercooler put in, if not your probably going to have to pay for it, which can get expensive. I belive it was a major recall so if your dealer is telling you they don't know about it, I might find another one.

A bed rug is pretty much carpet that covers your whole bed. I have one and it looks great (of course you need a hard cover or soft cover to keep the rain off it). It looks a lot better then spray in, I get comments from people all the time if they see it. If your going to be moving a lot of stuff (which you probably arent) Id lean towards the spray in, but overall Id recommend the Bed Rug. And for new mats Id go with Tim, hes a supporting vendor and a great guy. Excellent customer service.

And look, he sells bed rugs too!

And no, hes not paying me any money to say this, I got a FTVB from him.

And your welcome, this site takes up a lot of my time at work.
