Thank you for the compliments, I just hope it runs as good as it will look when I'm finished.

I think red anodized would look good as well, since the valve covers and timing cover and intake and plenum will all be permastar chrome.

Finished off the oil filter adapter. Now just the plumbing is left for that.

As long as you guys don't get tired of seeing the posts I will keep them coming. It is very gratifying. I think the main thing that I really like is the fact that I know each and everything about the motor and its assembly, all the way down to the last measurement, bearing clearance, ring gap and ring placement. All the little things that most people trust someone else did right. I don't think I would be happy any other way. The build is going very slow now due to all the cosmetic and 1 off things I'm doing.

The oil filter adapter came from detroit speedworks. the 3/4" npt to -10AN fittings from summit and the mezire (sp) 1" npt to 1 3/4 hose is also from summit.

As for cooling on mine it will be done with a remote thermostat housing. That will be unseen under the intake. The 2 fittings on the back of my intake manifold will T via stainless line and fittings into one of the ports on the adapter below the 2 fittings on the front of the manifold will go individually into the housing with one port left over for the coolant temp sensor.

No I'm not disconnecting the heater core.

Also as stated before I am sending my stuff out for coatings. Up until this afternoon I was going to go with Goodrich Technologies, but after a brief phone call to them and not caring to much for the guys attitude, I sent everything to Jet-Hot. I hope that I will still be happy with the look. If the coating looks like I think it should be pretty close to a billet color. I went with the sterling silver by the way.

HI!... COOL! Great stuff, your building a nice set-up there. I'm also building a new "BUILT" engine as well. Check it out and let me know what you guys think.
