Cryogenic Forged Steel 5.4 Crank?
HI!... Has anyone here bought or had there factory forged steel 5.4 crank cryogenically treated? Shot peened? My crank is at my engine builders currently. I read over at the MMR site that they offer a cyro'ed forged steel crank (stock one) that is supposed to handle 400 H.P more that the stock forged steel cran in stock trim. I've been told that the stock crank can handle 900H.P (FLYWHEEL). Just curious due to we have a cryogenic place here in down and am thinking of getting it done.
***New Forged 5.4 COBRA crankshaft, cryo treated, polished, and race prepped
Will handle up to 400hp more than stock crankshaft with better duarabilty and less wear.***

At the very least MMR's price for the cryo and shot peened crank was good - in fact close to the stock forged crank price. The only thing that they did not mention was making the balancers more aerodynamic. I read that the crank turned at 120mph at 5000rpms.

Cool! On my 4v Fox Lake hand ported the heads, I installed all new Crower valves and springs with titanium retainers. I topped them off with Crower stage III cams. The things a beast now!
I can't wait to start on my F-150. I'm in the hunt for a stock used longblock - cheap, so that I can do a build up from there. Also I want the Cobra completed (so to speak), I have to add the blower still.
