Anyone have 5% over 20%? I got 20% last summer and I want it darker now. Went to talk to the tint shop and he said with the 5% over the 20% would put it at 3%. Wondering if anyone has done this and if you got pics? He also said 20% over 20% would equal 5% but we took a piece of 20 and folded it over. It didnt seem anything like 5%. I have an appointment to have it done this friday. Just want to be sure I'm not making a mistake.

 

well, do what you want, but there are legitimate reasons why not to go with 5% or 3% on the sides on a daily driver. you will have to roll your windows down in low light conditions to see out the sides. there are times when being able to see out your windows might just save your life or someone else's, or at least damage to your vehicle (think deer, motorcycles, bicyclers, etc). and i'm sure that kind of tint is illegal anywhere you go and for good reasons. would you want to be a cop walking up to a window where you couldn't see in even if you had a going pointed at your face? i say save it for the limos.

I have my windshield tinted all the way with 50% and have all my other windows tinted with 20% if you want to check them out.
