This was posted by SVTKY over on lightningrodder. Although I did mine a little different this gives you some idea. Hopefully the link works.

Lets see if this works: http://www.timskelton.com/lightning/...ng_install.htm

I just onbolted my upper ball joint leaving the bolt on a few threads with a jack under the lower a arm. I put a chain semi tight through the spring then lower the a arm on jack keep some pressure between the jack and the arm. You may need to wack the upper a arm near the ball joint and it will pop loose. Remove the ball joint bolt and lower the whole asssembly. Then your spring should come out. BTW put the truck up on jack stands, pretty high if i recall correctly.

The ball joints can be a beotch. I would go to harborfreight.com and buy a cheap set of pickle forks.

Screw the pickle fork and buy a bfh, smack the ball joint with it and usually they come apart! Just make sure the nut is loose and the spring is working with you.

dont you have to install cam bolts for the alignment anyway i would just pull the bolts on the a-arm seem the better way. kill two birds with one stone.

any idea how much it would cost? its a pretty simple mod to do yourself in the driveway with basic handtools. if you can read simple directions and look at pics, you can follow SVTKY's how-to and do the spring swap no problemo. just interested to see how much money they get for doing it. i've done 4 sets so far, 2 in my truck, 2 in others. got paid in hooters wings

anybody else in the south jersey region want a hand doing them...hit me up

I would do it yourself. It is really a piece of cake. I did both under 2 hours and it was my first time by myself.

No need to remove any ball joints.

1. Support truck with jack stands.
2. Support lower A arm with floor jack
3. Remove two upper A arms bolts
4. Lower the floor jack to decompress coil safely
5. Remove coil and insert new
6. Use floor jack to compress new coil
7. Reattach upper A arm with new camber bolts
8. Align truck
