I would also try the hand glaze first with a orbital machine with a foam pad and do a small section first and DON'T LET THE HAND GLAZE DRY. It will work 100 times better if put on wet and taken off wet. If that does not work and you really want to do some work get some cutting glaze (compound fine) and use a spinning wheel and do the whole hood warning if you don't know how to use a wheel dont attempt it just bring it to a detail guy they'll probably do it for nothing if it just a spot

I would try the Meguires scratch remover as it's fairly safe.
I use this stuff - it's called Scratch-X from Meguires. Works great on my black L, and it gets out water stains and other stuff. Might work for you. Leaves no swirl marks.
