Brake Question

Where is it that brakes usually squeak, i know it is not a wear issue because the brakes only have 500 or so miles on them, but thay are squeaking on slow stops, if it is a hard stop they wont squeak. It seems like the front pass. side is the problem, do they usually squeak between the caliper and the pad or the caliper on the rail, i just insalled power slots all around and hawk pads, where should i try and put some brake no squeak stuff..

tks

In theory the anti-squeak paste goes between the back of the pad and the face of the caliper and the piston. Disc brake pads have squeaked for years and usually the OEM's buy the quietest ones out there. I've never had much luck making them quiet with the paste. It usually takes different pads. Turning the rotors will shut them up for about a hundred miles, but as soon as they "bed in", the squeak will be back......
