Cool-Collar

I was wondering if anyone on this forum has a cool-collar on the L.

http://cool-collar.com/

I just placed an order with Brett the owner of this company this morning. I had one on my heavily modded TT300ZX since about 99. The design is simple and effective, it looks like a heat sink. I think that anything you can do to lower the oil temperature will have benefits on the engine in the long run. If interested, they run for $29.95, you may be able to get free ship if you press Brett hard enough. The dimensions you will need to tell him is that the diamter is 3.77 and the length is 4 inches. The filters that I use are the K&N HP2010. He also has applications for Harleys as well. I plan on doing some oil heat measurements with and without the collar for him.
If you need to speak with him directly, you can reach him at 208-484-8596.

Hmmm.. I'm not sure how much heat is actually transfered through the oil filter, different material, painting, stickers, etc...
