Boost
since it seems, that the chips are giving us higher rpms at the shift, and slightly higher boost w/rpms. does anyone know if the truck is designed to only "accept" 8psi and the rest is wasted to the dump? some have suggested that a chip giving more boost is "laughable", if this is the case, won't all the effort, for better breathing, crank blower pulley changes, snout blower pulley changes, etc, simply be wasted to the dump?

The thing is, I can feel I am getting more power. I have not been back to the track, but I noticed the second program (the performance program) is called ...-rpm.
Now the extra power is not only noticeable at high rpm, but from down low. So, it feels, and sounds like more boost al over the rpm range.

Dear MRBBQMAN,
No, it's not "wasted to dump", so to speak. The Superchip itself does not directly increase boost, but boost will increase as a function of rpm, as you correctly pointed out. The Superchip only raises the upshift point on the 2-3 and higher by about 3 mph, so a little more boost is made as a result of a little bit more rpm. So, I guess it could be said that the chip indirectly increases boost, but only by a small amount.
