Another Problem?

So I ran into another problem with the good ole truck.

Problems: Or should I say when you step on the go peddle this is what happens?

It doesnt go?
Boggs out
Only revs to 2k
Boost at 10lbs
I hear whine but no exhaust
Service Engine Soon Light
Flashing OD light

Any Ideas?

I can think of 3 things...

IAC + Idle air control valve on the passenger side of your plenum is dirty.
Clogged cat converter some times caused by running leaded race fuel
Burnt tranny control harness on headers.

Hope this helps.

God Bless,

Suavy

Drop the cats off the truck and try driving it around the block.

but the flashing OD light reminds me of some old problems people had some time ago.

It's possible that you went into Gator Mode (I MEAN LIMP MODE)
It use to be a very common problem.

This is usually associated with a Sensor that has touched and burnt and or shorted out on the exhuast. It sends the transmission into Gator, I mean Limp Mode and it does exactly what you are descibing.
This limp mod is exactly that, it's made to allow you to Limp home.
Most had it happen right after having headers installed

If this is the case, you will find a blown fuse, (sorry cant tell you where or which one), but I would search for the post on it, and check that fuse.
Of course you need to find and correct the wire (sensor) that caused it in the first place also.

The fuse may be under the hood, check both there and the inside fuse panel, and the wire is usually below and on the exhaust....

Rob...I agree. This same thing happened to me. I burnt a fuse while installing my FTVB (still not sure how). But appearantly touched a wire somehow and burnt the fuse (fuse box under the hood). Think it was the fourth one back. Anyway....all the same symptoms....replaced the fuse...good to go!
