Post ? 4 Lightningtuner

Sal,
How hard would it be to convert the E4OD to a c-4 or a c-6?

Hey Joe, Sal here. It's not that hard. Either tranny will bolt up to the motor (as long as you get a C-6 with a small block or straight 6 bellhousing). You'll need a new convertor. A C-6 would handle the torque and wieght of the Lighting better, and is closer in size to the E4OD. You may have to change the driveshaft length and modify the trans crossmember. As for the engine controls, since you have a Pro-M, you can use that Mustang computer, you will just need to buy a Mass air Mustang EEC harness since you will no longer use the stock Lightning PCM to control the tranny. Hope this helps.
