Crazy Nitrous Install!

Crazy Nitrous Install!
Hello Everyone! I wanted to share with F150online what some people have found out doing a nitrous install. This has to be the best place to spray to make power. What they do is take your mid plate and plumb it with 2 NX and 2 Gas bars. This setup almost doubles the HP shot that you put in (this takes into effect that you have two bars for NX/Gas). Example what should be a 50HP shot equals almost 100 RWHP! The dyno tuning is tomorrow so I'll have numbers soon.

Nice set up, that was exactly how I installed the Nitrous on my First Motorcycle in 1979. Since there was no Motorcyle kits back then, I contacted a Company known as 2000 RPM (out of CA I believe) and had them make me up that exact bar set up. I then made a Plate to fit between the 4 Carbs and rubber inlet boots, and Waa Laa, Nitrous Ronbo The Nitrous Addict was born

AS far as doubling HP I dont know, but I do know the holes drilled in the bar need to be ON THE MONEY, and you need to make sure an equal amount of Fuel and N20 goes to each bar, "and each outlet hole", then and only then can you try and figure out the nozzle sizing. Unless nx already has it all figured out ???
We had some trial and error with my set up back then, (I was a test mule back in the 70's too it seemed, hehehehehe)
If you remember I lost the bike in a deal gone bad about 25 years ago
and then had an old friend drop it on my door step last winter.
Even know it was still in my name 25 years later, it had been out in the weather for decades and was just too far gone. I stripped the n20 stuff off it and pushed it in front of the house. That night someone took it, hehehehe.
dumped it.
Here's what it kinda looked like (try to imagine it 25 years ago and in mint condition, it was quite impressive back in the 70's. (SO WERE THE DRUGS, hehehehe) ah ha ha ha
I KNEW I SHOULD HAVE PATTENED IT BACK THEN &($%@*(&$%@*($^%@(*$^%@*$%@*$%@*$^%@$(*%^@$*(^@%$* (@$

I had the spray bar setup like that on my 01 (is actually still on the truck, jut capped off).
The problem with spray bars is that they are very crude at injecting fuel and nitrous. You will get tons better atomization with a good nozzle.
I doubt you'll see double the hp; I'm not really sure where you got that from.
One of the reasons Lightning's respond so well to nitrous, is because of spraying BEFORE the blower. It cools everything down, lowers the air temps, and makes the blower more efficient. The only reason I went to bars on my truck was because I started using a nitrous HP level that a nozzle couldn't flow.
One thing I DID like about spraying after the blower, was that the truck "hit" WAY harder off the line. Dunno if that was a good thing or bad thing .

I'll just say that NX had a BIG deal in this, lol. I'll put up a bet that this setup will almost double the HP because I've seen it do it on 2 lightnings, one of which was sprayin 200HP and actually made high 300's (completly built motor with I beams). I'll tell you what though, we'll find out today!!!!!!!
