parking brake line lock?

parking brake line lock?

so can i like dissable the e-brake on the rear and have it act like a line lock? just a stupid idea

ummmm, no! The parking brake only applies the rear brakes, so if you disable that the only thing you have gained is a dead pedal.

Er, if you really want a "line lock" and don't mind a bit of Redneck engineering, you could always clamp the flexible line to the rear brakes.
Personally, I wouldn't do it but it would work.

im sorry, i knew it was a dumb question. is it possible to move the e-brake to the front?

umm it doesn't matter if it's front or rear wheel drive all parking brake devices are on the rear. for a line lock to work since our trucks are rear wheel drive you need to lock the front wheels. using the parking brake while doing a burnout defeats the purpose of locking the wheels, is completely stupid and will eat up your parking brake shoes and rotors faster than you can say oh ****

I would be pissed to if I wore out my parking brake shoes.

I haven't serviced the rear brakes on the Lightning yet, but regular F150's have emergency brake drums and shoes inside the rear discs. Are Lightnings different?

No, they have shoes.

yes, i have managed to make an *** out of myself. im good at that. so im guessin i should just shut-up and get a line lock kit. Sal, im coming down to see ya
