I got a recommendation from Rob2Lightning a few years back for the Hellwig traction springs.

I absolutely love the adjustability and for $59 at JC Whitney. You can't beat them. Low weight too with total elimination of axle hop.

Used the Hellwig 500 half leafs for a long time before buying traction bars. They worked great and handling improved at on-track (road course) events. Still use them occasionally. They control wheel hop and protect drive shaft, but did not help launch as well as slappers.

I like my lakewood slappers pretty well. Ive towed two 4 wheelers with no big change in ride and Ive hauled a 73 mustang on a car trailer and couldnt tell the bars were there.

Wheel hop???

Today my wife drove the L and I was following her in an other car, we were at 35mph when she drove over some small rails and the L hops 5-7 cm to the right side. At those speed it doesn't matter, but at higher speeds. Is this wheel hoping??? Do the 58'' traction bars prevent this??? Or what else have to be done??? I've installed a 4'' drop in the rear with Ground Force shocks, shackles and hangers!!!

This is wheel hop:

Traction bars are designed to stop the axle rotation pictured above.

The thing you saw driving behind your wife is not something that a traction bar can help.
