Nascar F150s
I had never seen a live Nascar F-150 before and today I saw two. I think they look pretty awesome, although it could be A LOT lower. How do those trucks perform? I couldn't really tell how fat the tires were either.

Hey Brimstone, are you talking about the 98 Nascar edition? If so, nothing special on performance, 4.6 with 3.73 ratio, stock exhaust with split Rousch tips. Mine had speed limiter around 95 mph till I chipped it. I am happy with how it runs but always looking for improvements, see signature. It sure ain't a Lightning.....more show than go.

Dear Brimstone,
Like Johnny said, it's more of an appearance and handling package than it is a performance package in terms of more power. They have the same horsepower rating as all other 4.6's for 1998, but they are a bit lighter than other F-150's so they tend to be a bit quicker. Also, most of them have the FOU1 computer code, which is a bit more aggressive than other F-150 codes for that year. FOU1 codes tend to require higher than 87 octane stock many times, for example.
Have a great Thanksgiving,

I pulled up next to one at a light in Mansfield, Tx. yesterday. My truck sat considerably lower than the NASCAR truck. My guess is that it is very close to a stock Lightning.

Just wanted to say that I've seen Victor's NASCAR Edition F-150 and it looks great! Really like the look of the yellow lettering on the tires. Have heard, however, that these tires may not be available anymore. If that's true it's too bad. They're pretty cool.
