Just yesterday i noticed a knocking sound so i sat there and looked and listend and the noise was coming fom the converter. i was under my truck while it was running and listend under the oil pan and didnt hear any thing but the closer i moved to the bell houseing it got louder? so could it be the converter. it is a stock converter.

They can knock/clatter if the converter bolts come loose. Also a cracked flexplate can make noise.

Mine does it in gear at low idle and when stopped. At least I think that is were the noise is coming from.

Mine too. Always after I first start it @idle. It doesn't seem to do it after I have been driving it a while and come to a stop. only after it has set for a while and cooled down.

hmm

i get a weird like deep vibration noise every hear and again. I always attribuited it to the headers for some reason. Maybe my convertor is doing it. 2000 and just turned 20k miles
