I usually get 8-10 hours labor to do cams AND springs, in the truck. The time variance depends on what extra stuff may or may not have to be removed to do the job. I haven't done JUST cams, because you can't use the stock springs.

Hey dont forget me... we did the Crower stage 2 cams and Stainless valve springs.. I picked up some nice power gains more then what was expected, i believe it was something like 40hp and 22lbsft added on to what i had that includes a 6# lower at the time.. if anyone can do it and make it right it would definately be Sal give him a call im sure he will do an excelent job like he did mine..

Do heads if you're going to do cams. You'll regret it if you don't.

what are you talking about???? i did just my cams and the truck is making some insane power 475/562... stock block and its only doing 15psi with a ported eaton 2.7 upper and a 6# lower... i just did my air/fuel system and will be retuning/testing on the 12th.. ill give you a list of all my mods how about that?? its actually safer to do.. i should be pumping 21# boost but im reading 15#... the stock heads are flowing just fine, for now. when i do the new engine then i will have new heads to go with it... ENJOY

accufab throttle body, boost by pass, SCT Xcalibrator 2, Metco idler, 6# metco solid lower pulley, level 10 trans valve body, 10.5"precision industries torque converter, dynatech longtubes and magnaflow cat-back, crower stage II cams, JLP 2.7 upper, C&L upper Plenum, JLP 58" traction torque arm bars, and AEM 95mm intake MAF kit with PSP filter, APTEN ported blower..

Imagine how much more power it would make with heads that can flow more then 170cfm
