I think it looks freakin awesome! Too bad I couldn't do it, as I have a hard tonneau cover. Good job!

Yeah, I know. But I couldn't resist with my smart a$$ answer. I wouldn't worry, there are many posts in the Lightning Forum that should be posted elsewhere.

That's gonna look great! Not too bad for a beginner, almost gives me enough courage to try something like that myself..... bodywork has always scared me, but I guess if ya screwed up bad enough you could always get a pro to fix the mistakes. I see you have a Sir Michaels roll pan, it used to be that you couldn't get the end caps for them... are they available now? I e-mailed Sport Truck Direct about that and they said the kits are available but they weren't clear if the caps were as well or not. I have the same look as yours in mind but minus the Ford emblem. Where did you get the hidden hitch for behind the liscense plate? Keep up the good work! Cheers.

I dont see how a hard tommeau cover would stop you from shaving your tailgate handle.

I don't either, I have an Undercover and it covers the top of the tailgate. No matter what, I have to lift the tonneau in order to open the tailgate...

So what did you do? You flipped the stock handle to the back and did you weld in that cover for the big hole in the front?

Looks awesome!!!!

Very nice job. Where did you get that handle relocator kit? Is that Sir Michaels? I think this would be easier than trying to actually find a tailgate kit. Good work man.

BTW- new Sir Michaels end caps don't fit great. They come out and down too far. My body guy had to build up the sides of the roll pan (after washers went to space it out, and put a little lip at the bottom of the roll pan. PITA
