Question SVT Expedition

I saw in a mag(not sure which) that Ford was testing an SVT Expedition(along w/ an SVT Focus) and was shooting for a 2001 release date for the SVT SUV. My ???'s are these: Do you think this will come to be(I'm looking for a "sporty" suv and may wait),do you think it will have even more problems than our L's(adding 4wd into the mix would be pricey on repairs),and do you want to see an SVT version of every Ford vehicle? I'm a member on the SVT message board(all Cobra guys) and the seem to be very resistant to seeing the Focus and Expedition in SVT form. They claim it kills the whole idea of SVT by offering a special version of "every car".They were throwing around things like "SVT Excursion","SVT Escort" etc.
Just some random thoughts-
Brett the "Hitman"
99.5 Lightning(stock...for now)

Sorry for the double post,my server hung me up in mid send and I double clicked to be sure it went through. Sorry

I'm having trouble w/ my server,it's all jacked up at the moment but I checked my e-mail(15 messages since 9) and at the bottom of every message is: "subsription request" SVT-request@olympiakos.com
Just send email there asking to join and I'm sure you'll be ready to go.I could be wrong though .

Thumbs up

I'm pretty certain we'll see the "Thunder" SVT Expedition. I seriously doubt it will be a 4x4 - just basically all the Lightning pieces transferred to the Expedition and tweaked somewhat.

I also think Ford would be absolutely stupid not to do the SVT Focus "R" given the current popularity of the Sport Compact segment. Matter of fact, I pray they do it and give the rice crowd a good, homestyle, wood shed spanking!!

Later!

I have seen a Prototype Thunder can't say where but It was a two wheel drive. It appeared to use most of the same parts as the Lightning except for a independant rear suspension, which I heard was a possibility for the Lightning one day.

If the SVT Focus is released, those who support it should not put down rice burners so much as the SVT Focus would be pretty much the same concept (and similiar appearance) as a rice burner. Ever seen a fixed up Escort ZX2? Put some nice wheels and low pro tires, take off the labels and you wouldn't know the diff. Just my personal opinion.

Personally I kinda like the idea of a faster SUV, but I think Brimstone would be right, if SVT did make the focus a product it would be a RICE-A-RONI (sorry for caps).

Just my two cents...

I get the name Lightning Boy is because when we went to Ennis For the SVT thing I bought a SVT F-150 LIGHTNING jacket and sence it has gotten cold down here I have started to use it and between talking about the truck to my friends and useing the jacket I get the name Lightning Boy.

Question

So are you guy's for SVT versions of most of Fords vehicles??? I personally don't care one way or the other,I just wanted to hear the rest of the boards take on this.
I do like the Focus R,granted it is "rice burner" like(w/a smattering of Euro flavor) but it is a Ford.
